A Importância do registro de câncer no planejamento em saúde

Population-Based Cancer Registries (RCBP) are cancer information systems that collect data on all new cancer cases within a defined geographic area through a continuous and systematic collection process. They are useful for epidemiological surveillance, monitoring specific occupational groups or cohorts of individuals exposed to carcinogens, and planning public policies and evaluating health services. In this text, data from the Population-Based Cancer Registry of Sao Paulo were used to exemplify some useful information for planning and management in the city of Sao Paulo.
