Laminate and method of production

The invention relates to a laminate, the top layer comprises an impregnated paper with an aminoplast resin and surface modified silica nanoparticles. According to the invention it is provided that the surface-modified silica nanoparticles comprise at least one silane on its surface which carries at least one functional group. The invention further relates to methods for producing such a laminate.
