Tone Reproduction of Photographs by Affine Color Transformation

We propose a tone reproduction method for photographs. Our method is composed of two stages of the affine transform of colors. The first stage is a transform of the hue of colors by a white balance technique based on the gray world assumption. The second stage is the transform of the saturation and luminance of colors while preserving the hue of colors. Experimental results are shown for dehazing, exposure compensation and the color restoration of underwater photographs.
