The Role of MRI and CT in the Diagnosis of Central Pulmonary Carcinona

2005
Objective To evaluate the role of MRI and CT in the diagnosis of central pulmonary carcinona.Materials and Methods The MRI material of 65 cases of central pulmonary carcinona were analysed, andcorrelated with CT scans. All the cases were proved by pathology .Results MRI can clearly demonstrate thedifference between diagnoses and apelectasis, their invasion on mediastinum and metastasis to lymphonodi.CTscans can provide accurate information in the size, shaoe, location, structure and density of central pulmonarycarcinona. Conclusions MRI has the advantage in the diagnosis of central pulmonary carcinona ,but CT scanis indispensable and must not be instead.
