[Surgery in the region of the ankle joint--5 years' experience].

During the period January 1992-August 1996 we operated 143 patients with ankleś fracture in the department for surgery Dĕcin. An operation technic using the method of transtibial cerclage is presented. The success of the method was evaluated clinically and according to the length of work inability as well. The author emphasizes early rehabilitation in precisely performed osteosynthesis.
