This study aimed to identify the professional performance of graduate nurses, and nursing helpers and technicians, from two old age homes situated in Montes Claros-MG, Brazil, regarding the oral hygiene care of their institutionalized populations. It was a quantitative, descriptive, crosssectional research. The tool used for data collection was a structured questionnaire that was applied to all (24) professionals linked to institutions A and B.
