n t he present research project entitled "Prevention of occupational risk and its incidence in compliance with occupational health and safety regulations in the Occupational Health and Work Hazards Prevention Unit of the Technical University of Manabi.", The g eneral objective it is to determine the importance of the prevention of labor risks and its incidence in the fulfillment of the safety and occupational health regulation of the Technical University of Manabi. The field research was conducted within the ins titution, through the application of survey, interview and tour of the facilities qualitative and quantitative data were obtained respectively. Its importance lies in being able to reduce occupational risks within the institution and once they have been id entified, they can issue a matrix of findings that allows for recommendations. As a result of this research work, an audit of occupational risk prevention is presented, detecting the deficiencies that it has in terms of process, analyzing the possible solu tions to counteract all the problems, always being regulated within the applicable legal framework.
