Revision of Afroeubria Villiers (Coleoptera: Psephenidae: Eubriinae), including phylogenetic notes

2003
The endemic African genus Afroeubria Villiers, 1961, is revised. Of four species described by Villiers, only Afroeubria hygropetrica Villiers, 1961, from Tanzania and A. monodi Villiers, 1961, from Guinea are recognized as valid species. Afroeubria bertrandi Villiers, 1961, and A flavida Villiers, 1961, are synonymized with A. hygropetrica Villiers, 1961. A new species, A. sebastiani, is described from South Africa. In addition, keys to species of Afroeubria and to the world genera of the subfamily Eubriinae are provided.
