Modelling dynamic hypothesis of license aircraft engineer turnover: A causal loop approach

2019
License Aircraft Engineer (LAE) is personnel that responsible for the release of an aircraft or an aircraft component to service. The demand for air travel increases leads to the increase of LAE as they have final say whether an aircraft or a component is safe to be used. Therefore, it is crucial for airliner to ensure that LAE will not quit their job due to several factors such as heavy workload, less income and many more. This paper employs system dynamics methodology to study the cause and effect of turnover rate among LAE in one of the company that provides the service to the airliner. The result of this paper is the dynamics hypothesis, i.e. Causal Loop Diagram, which depicts the interconnected variables that influenced to the turnover rate of LEA. The development of dynamic hypothesis are based on the literatures reviews and finding from various data collection steps. Based on the finding we found that variables that most influence turnover rate among license aircraft engineer is workload which infl...
