KADAR D-DIMER SEBAGAI PREDIKTOR AWAL TINGKAT KETAHANAN HIDUP PASIEN COVID-19

2021
Introduction. World Health Organization reported that Case Fatality Rate of COVID-19 is 4,4% in the world on July, 16 2020. Several studies have shown that D-dimer level affects the death of COVID-19 patients. This study aims to investigate whether D-dimer level is associated with survival rate of COVID-19 patients. Methods. This research is an analytic observational study using cross sectional design. The sample of this study were all patients confirmed COVID-19 in RSUP dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang for the period March 1 2020 - June 30 2020. A total of 109 data include the inclusion criteria. Cut off points of D-dimer was identified by ROC curve using MedCalc. Data on mortality and D-dimer levels of COVID-19 patients were obtained through medical records and analyzed using the Chi-square test by SPSS. Results. From 109 data, 14.68% (16/109) of COVID-19 patients died within 30 days and 93,75% (15/16) of COVID-19 patients who died had D-dimer levels > 0.63 g/mL. The results of the analysis using the Chi-square test showed that there was a very significant relationship between D-dimer levels and the death of COVID-19 patients (p = 0.001). Conclusion. There is significant relationship between the death of COVID-19 patients and D-dimer levels for early detection of coagulopathy in patients with COVID-19 upon admission to the hospital. Keywords.
