Working from home has always been perceived mainly as a benefit, a certain advantage for employees who could work part of their working hours from the comfort and peace of their homes, in their own rhythm, undisturbed by the hustle of offices, with no need to travel. The employer gained more satisfied employees, lower turnover, increased labour productivity at lower costs. The last months of the global coronavirus epidemic have apparently changed the view of working from home as a clear benefit forever and moved it to the level of a tool to fight the epidemic situation and maintain the health of employees. However, working from home still has its legal requirements, the employer must comply with the Labour Code and the principles of occupational health and safety. Statistics on working from home before and during the coronavirus crisis, ergonomic and psychosocial recommendations for working from home are the content of this article.
