Neurogenic Voiding Dysfunctions (NVD)

2003
Neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction continues to represent a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. Many different conditions affecting the vesicourethral system have their origins in the nervous system, and it is important to recognise that lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) may sometimes be one of the first signs of neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis (MS). A sound urodynamic investigation forms the basis for both the diagnosis and the therapy of neurogenic voiding dysfunction, the treatment of which is usually symptomatic.
