Selbstverdichtender Beton im Fertigteilwerk

The use of self-compacting concrete (SCC) in construction offers ecological and economical benefits. In order to use self-compacting concrete safely, it is necessary to be familiar with appropriate manufacturing processes as well as with suitable concrete mixtures and the mechanical properties of hardened concrete. In the following the development of an SCC from the scientific laboratory scale at the Institut for Building Materials Research (ibac) at the Technical University of Aachen (RWTH Aachen) via the applied technical laboratory scale at the company Benno Drossler GmbH & Co. Bauunternehmung KG, Siegen, to large-scale production in the precast factory is described. Drossler easyflow (SVB)® [1] is the first new building product of this kind licensed for general construction use in Germany by Deutsches Institut fur Bautechnik - DIBt (German Institute for Construction Technology) in Berlin to be used officially in a precast element plant.
