Effect of the ratio the components of the titanium tetrachloride-acetophenone-triisobutylaluminum catalytic system on the alternative copolymerization of butadiene and propylene according to EPR data
1992
The reaction of the components of a catalytic system of alternating copolymerization of butadiene and propylene containing titanium tetrachloride, acetophenone, and triisobutylaluminum was studied by EPR spectroscopy. A spectrum (g x =1.982, g y =1.974, and g z =1.968) of a Ti 3+ -mTi 4+ complex (m>1), which is probably a prereaction center, was recorded. The copolymerization activity decreases in the case of dissociation of the complex to small particles, particularly Ti 2 7+
