Programmable 128 x 128 MOSLM compact correlator

1993
This paper details a compact correlator unit (CCU) built by Martin Marietta that performs start-to-finish automatic pattern recognition tasks. The CCU is a transportable, programmable two-dimensional optical correlator based on magneto-optic spatial light modulator (MOSLM) technology. A compact transportable correlator presents additional design issues over a conventional benchtop system. This results in a different set of design parameters which are discussed along with analysis and test results of system performance.© (1993) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
