Anesthetic management for repair of Ebstein's anomaly

2003
EBSTEIN’S ANOMALY accounts for less than 1% of congenital heart disease. Although the pathologic anatomy may vary, all patients presenting with this anomaly have in common a displaced basal insertion of the septal and posterior leaflet of the tricuspid valve.1,2 The clinical picture of Ebstein’s anomaly may vary from no clinical finding with minor malformations to gross defects that are incompatible with life.3-5 The authors report the anesthetic management for surgical repair of Ebstein’s anomaly.
