Telejornalismo e a pandemia da Covid-19: : novas práticas de produção

2021
This article maps the aspects inherent to the production routines of Brazilian television news, based on the analysis of the telework reports shown in the Jornal Nacional, by Rede Globo de Televisao, in the first year of the Covi-19 pandemic in Brazil. 142 articles were analyzed, from February 26, 2020 to February 24, 2021. The material made it possible to perceive changes in the TV news routine, such as the use of images generated by the interviewees themselves (and the consequent concession to their technical quality when using teleporters), the interviewees' permission to hold the microphones, without a canoe, to maintain the social distance required by the health safety guarantee regulations and the presentation of reporters wearing a mask. Such changes are seen as necessary adaptations to the moment of the Covid-19 pandemic, as contingent restructuring of aspects of television news grammar and as necessary refractions for the maintenance of television news as an observer and preferential disseminator of the present.
