Modelo de competitividad global de universidades: Caso aplicado para evaluar la calidad percibida en egresados de tres sedes universitarias en Colombia

2020
Quality as a competitive advantage in higher education is a differentiating attribute that generates competitiveness and stimulates improvement and innovation in learning processes. This research aims to identify the factors that influence the level of quality perceived in three locations of higher education. For this, a mixed investigation was carried out, in which a semi-structured survey was applied for data collection applied to 1.831graduates, randomly selected from a population of 9.343 graduates of the 1994- 2016 cohort. The survey model contemplates 43 indicators included in three dimensions; and the effect they have on perceived quality in their graduates. For data processing and analysis, factor analysis is executed in the SPSS and Minitab software, and the main results identifies six categories: 1) Quality perceived as excellent, 2) Quality perceived as very good, 3) Quality perceived as good, 4) Quality perceived as adequate, 5) Quality perceived as low, and 6) Quality perceived as very low. This allowed us to conclude that the factors that intervene in the level of perceived quality, both by students and by graduates of higher education, are the so-called generic competences.
