Manufacture of compound for heat battery cathode using vanadium oxide derivative

PURPOSE: To provide a stable discharge voltage by adjusting powder mix of specific alkaline metal halide, and heat-treating it at a higher temperature than a fusing temperature of the halide mix. CONSTITUTION: Vanadium pentoxide V 2 O 5 , and mix of carbon of 3-20wt.% inclusive, of favorably 5-10% of V 2 O 5 , and alkaline metal halide of 15-50wt.% inclusive, or favorably 30-45wt.% are mixed with each other adjust powder mix. It is heat-treated at a higher temperature than a fusing temperature of the halide mix in a temperature range of 365°C-650°C inclusive for 15 min.-2 hours inclusive, or favorably, for 1/2-1 hour.
