Detection Surface Tension of Gas Hydrate Reaction Liquid with Surfactants

In order to get the law of surfactants effects on surface tension of gas hydrate reaction liquid,surface tension of SDBS,CTAB and P123,they were measured in the way of plate method through the tensionmeter K11 which was produced by the KRUSS company in Germany.Effects of concentration and temperature on the surface tension of solution were investigated.The results showed that each surfactant could reduce the surface tension of gas hydrate.CTAB’s CMC value was 300 mg/kg.P123’s CMC value was 50 0mg/kg.SDBS’s CMC value was 700 mg/kg.The best surfactant was CTAB(300 mg/kg) with an average surface tension reduction of 79%.This investigation was the basis of surfactants selection in gas hydrate formation.
