ESTUDIO DE LAS PROPIEDADES MECÁNICAS DE PELÍCULAS POLIMÉRICAS A PARTIR DE LÁTEX DE POLÍMEROS NÚCLEO/CORAZA OBTENIDOS MEDIANTE POLIMERIZACIÓN EN MICRO EMULSIÓN Y EN EMULSIÓN

The present work reports the synthesis of polymer core-shell (polystyrene 1 poly (butyl acrylate)) using a rigid core as polystyrene with a soft she ll as poly(butyl acrylate) (and vice versa) in the proportions 40/60 and 60/40, obtained by polymerization in microemulsion and emulsion . We studied the mechanical properties of the salid material obtained, as well as the mechanical properties of the films formed by the deposition of the latex on a flat surface and dried at 30 o C. The fi lms which were prepared using core/shell polymer obtained by microemulsion, presented higher values of modulus of tension and !ensile strength than the films prepared using polymer core/shell obtained by emulsion .
