Pérdida de etanol amina en los sistemas EA-H2O-aire y EA-H2O-O2

2015
EA-H 2 O-Air and EA H 2 O-O 2 systems were evaluated in order to establish the contribution of air and O 2 in the absence of CO 2 in the loss of ethanolamine (EA) in an aqueous solution of 30 % for the CO 2 capture process. Experiments were performed with air supply flows and O 2 at room temperature for 16 h, every 2 h; pH, temperature and concentration of EA were recorded. EA loss in the EA-H 2 O-air system occurred in the first two hours, being higher at low flows compared to high flows. With a flow of 11.27 mL/s was lost on average 10.5 %, whereas with a flow of 35.14 mL/s loss was 2.44 %. EA loss decreased as the air flow is increased, without depending on air supply times. EA loss in the EA-H 2 O-O 2 system was not significant when oxygen was fed 16 h in the flows studied.
