Effects of Pb on the Antioxidant Capacity in Serum of Carassius auratus

2010
[Objective] The aim was to study the effect of Pb on antioxidant capacity of Carassius auratus.[Method] The C.auratus were treated by Pb solution with 0,0.01,0.05,0.10,0.50,1.00 mmol/L,the content of hydrogen peroxide(H2O2),activities of catalase(CAT) and myeloperoxidase(MPO) in serum of C.auratus in different treatments were compared.[Result] Pb with low concn.(0.01 mmol/L) could increase the activity of CAT in serum of C.auratus, while Pb with high concn.could decrease the activity of CAT.H2O2 content in serum of C.auratus showed increasing trend with the increase of Pb concn, but H2O2 content in serum of C.auratus in treatment with 1.00 mmol/L Pb was lower than that in treatment with 0.50 mmol/L Pb.Pb with low concn.(0.01,0.05 mmol/L) could increase the activity of MPO in serum of C.auratus, while Pb with high concn.could decrease the activity of MPO.[Conclusion] The study provided the reference for quantitative analysis of heavy mental pollution in living environment of fish.
