The Effect of Different Rate of Nitrogen,Phosphorus and Potassium on Yield and quality of Cotton

2012
The effect of different rate of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium on cotton was studied in a cultivation experiment.Under our experimental conditions, nitrogen was the primary factor to determine the yield of cotton. In order to get higher yield, nitrogen could be used more than usual with medium dosage of phosphorus and potassium.Nitrogen and potassium were the major factors to specific broken strength and should be used more with medium dosage of phosphorus.Phosphorus and potassium were major factors to weaving index of cotton and should be used more with a medium dosage of nitrogen. In order to get the highest yield and better quality, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers could be used at a rate of 300 kg,37.5 kg,and 300 kg per hectare, respectively, with a ratio of NP2O5 K2O at 818.When considering the production cost, ideal result could be got when nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers were used at a rate of 300 kg,75 kg,and 150 kg per hectare, respectively, with a ratio of N P2O5 K2O at 4 1 2.
