HORMONAL RESPONSES TO INTRANASAL LUTEINIZING HORMONE RELEASING HORMONE1

1973
ABSTRACT The intranasal administration of LRH produces rises in serum gonadotrophin concentration similar to those found after 100 μg i.v. LRH. The maximum effect on LH was seen at a dose of 2.5 mg. PSH responses were much smaller and did not display the dose dependence of the LH changes. The results of this study have important implications for the treatment of anovulatory infertility in the female and isolated gonadotrophin deficiency in the male.
