Effect of Kuding Tea prepared from Ilex latifolia thunb leaves on blood-lipid level in mouse

The hyperlipidemia mice were fed with different dose of distillable liquid of Ilex latifolia Thunb. The Transansio automatic biochemical analyzer was used to determine the serum lipid mice in normal and model groups. The result shows this Ilex latifolia Thunb tea has significant effects in decreasing the serum total cholesterol(P0.001)and triglyceride(P0.05)and LDL-C(P0.001)in the hyperlipidemia mice. But it has not significant effects on HDL-c. It can modulate the AI and R-CHR indexes. So we get the conclusion that this Ilex latifolia Thunb has significant effects in decreasing the blood lipid of hyperlipidemia and in preventing atherosclerosis.
