Facile Synthesis and Optical Property of Core/Shell Chromate Nanorods

This article mainly explored a facile route for the synthesis of core/shell nanorods. The barium chromate (BaCrO4) and lead chromate (PbCrO4) nanorods were respectively synthesized using acrylamide as template and characterized to be of monoclinic phase. Based on facts that the discrepancy of solubility products (K sp ) of the BaCrO4 and PbCrO4, and both of them belong to the same crystal system and have the same symmetry and charge number of the cations, the interesting BaCrO4/PbCrO4 core/shell nanorods were successfully synthesized. In addition, the optical property of the core/shell nanorods has been studied.
