Waste disposal and resource utilization in intensive livestock production: a case study of a village in Beijing.

To dispose the waste and reuse the organic waste as resources is the major way to solve the problem of environmental pollution in intensive livestock production.The paper takes the case of a village in Shunyi district of Beijing to investigate the environmental influences from the wastes in intensive livestock production,and analyze the effects and the problem in the process of waste disposal and resource utilization.The result shows that it will promote the sustainable development and the environment improvement to implement the institution of breeding in industrial zone,adopt new waste disposal methods which are supported by biotechnology engineering technology,develop the comprehensive utilization of wastes to produce organic fertilizer and biofuel,and build a healthy ecosystem including the agriculture and the stockbreeding.
