Synthesis of oleandomycin through the intact aglycone, oleandolide

Abstract Oleandomycin has been reconstructed by an introduction of the two sugar units onto the intact aglycone, oleandolide, which was first synthesized through the stereoselective oxidation of the 8-exo-methylene derivative.
