Application of Electrical Resistivity Measurement for Cement-based Materials

The history, theory, apparatus and test methods related with electrical resistivity measurement are reviewed, with a focus on hydration process and prediction of the setting time and strength of cement-based materials. The studies on chemical admixtures and mineral admixtures using electrical resistivity measurement are discussed. Some existing problems are pointed out and further developments are suggested.
