Zum Vorkommen der Ringelnatter (Natrix natrix (L.)) im Stadtgebiet von Halle (Saale) und Umgebung

The present article shows the distribution of the gras-snake (Natrix natrix (L.)) in the urban area of Halle/Saale and its environs. The observations confirm an increase in distribution and the establishment of some healthy populations of the species. A variety of factors are discussed that can have destabilizing effects on grass-snake population numbers and/or can cause destruction of their habitats.
