Soil Quality in Relation to the Concepts of Multifunctionality and Sustainable Development

In spite of the great differences in the definition of the “quality of life” there is a world-wide agreement on three criteria: healthy food (sufficient quantity, high quality); clean water; and pleasant environment. All three are closely related to soil quality, rational land use and proper soil management.
