A Standalone FPGA-test Platform with Bi-directional Ports Supported

2018
This paper presents a design of a standalone FPGA-test platform based on MicroBlaze to configure a FPGA and then test it automatically by a command-data flow without users’ interference. Since the test system is built on another FPGA on BR0101, a self-designed platform, this design features good portability. And for some extensive uses, tests that require bi-directional ports are also supported by the command structure design. To match the command design, a specific file structure is built to generate test patterns. The results show that users can test FPGA in the aspects of both manufacture and application automatically with this proposed platform.
