Substituted benzene compounds, their production methods, and herbicidal and defoliant compositions containing them

SUMMARY A novel herbicide and defoliated aniline-derived compound represented by the general structure I has been described. The definitions of W, X, Y, Z and Q are as disclosed. Also described are methods for producing these compounds and compositions suitable for agriculture containing them as active ingredients. These compositions are useful as herbicides that generally or selectively suppress pre-emergence or post-emergence of undesirable plant species and as defoliants using these biologically active compounds at very low concentrations. .
