Design and experimental research of thermal water-jet system used in pavement composite deicing machine

How to quickly and economically remove the ices on the airport runways, city roads and bridges becomes an important topic of keeping the traffic flow and safe under the snow and icy weather. A compound deicing method which combines thermal melting, water-jet cutting and mechanical deicing was proposed based on the current researches of different deicing methods' deficiencies. The structure and working principle were discussed. The design and ex-periments of the thermal water-jet device were emphasized. This device can perform well in deicing work and meet the design requirements.
