Técnicas de Experimentación en la Enseñanza de Métodos de Estimación de Software
2008
Currently, a large number of controlled
experiments are being conducted in academic environments to
evaluate the effectiveness of methods or techniques proposed.
Most of these experiments have the main objective to obtain data
to provide empirical evidence of the utility of these methods for
researchers often ignoring the educational objectives of this type
of activity. This paper presents an experience in the application
of experimental techniques in teaching methods for estimating
software undertaken as part of a course of software development
in the Computer Engineering degree at the Polytechnical
University of Valencia. Unlike what has been the usual in
experiments conducted in the field of Software Engineering, this
paper describes how controlled experiments can be designed
taking into account the objectives of researchers and teachers.
