Sonographic appearance of a neuroendocrine tumor arising in the axilla: case report and literature review.

2014
Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are tumors that originate from neuroendocrine cells throughout the body. NETs are most commonly found in the appendix, followed by the rectum, ileum, lungs, and bronchi. NETs arising in soft tissues are rare. Here we describe the sonographic appearance of a NET in the axilla. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Clin Ultrasound 42:30–32, 2014
