Conformational difference due to types of cation in 1,2-dimethoxyethane-cation complexes as studied by Raman and FT-IR spectroscopy

Abstract Complex formation of 1,2-dimethoxyethane with cations was studied by Raman and FT-IR spectroscopy. It was found that the conformation of monovalent cation complexes has a trans-gauche-trans skeleton, while that of divalent cation complexes has a trans-cis-trans skeleton.
