Effect of different agents on in vitro growth of Alternaria alternata (FR.) Keissler

2003
The effects of different agents viz., fungicides, antibiotics and angiospermic sources were studied on in vitro growth of five isolates of Altemaria altemata obtained from diseased seeds of five different varieties of paddy. Chloromycetin, griseofulvin and topsin-M were most effective antibiotics and fungicide, respectively and angiospermic sources were effective in controlling the in vitro growth of the fungus.
