Polymers have become one of the most used materials both industrially and commercially. New market demands require the development of high performance materials with designed properties, i.e. tailored materials. Polymeric nanocomposites enable the development of new materials with the desired mechanical, electrical and optical properties. Here, we provide an overview of both processing techniques and advanced applications of polymer nanocomposites.
