Performance of Glass Composite Membrane Based Heteropolyacids for H(subscript 2)/O(subscript 2) Fuel Cells at Room Temperature

2012
A new class of proton conducting ceramic composite membrane has been developed for low temperature fuel cells. In this present investigation, heteropolyacid dispersed in catalyst layer was prepared and characterized The cell performances are really high using PWA/PMA doped with ZrO(subscript 2)/TiO(subscript 2) glass composite membranes and electrode contain heterpolyacid comparing with the phosphosilicate glass electrolyte at room temperature. The cell evaluation was confirmed PWA/PMA-TiO(subscript 2)-P(subscript 2)O(subscript 5)-SiO(subscript 2) composite membrane was given so successful performance than PWA/PMA-ZrO(subscript 2)-P(subscript 2)O(subscript 5)-SiO(subscript 2) glass composite membrane to hydrogen and oxygen (H(subscript 2)/O(subscript 2)) fuel cells.
