A new cycloartane-type triterpenoid from the roots of Dianella ensifolia (L.) DC

AbstractA new cycloartane-type triterpenoid, named 22-hydroxy-cyclolaudenol (1), together with two known cycloartane-type triterpenoids were isolated from the roots of Dianella ensifolia. Their structures were determined based on spectroscopic methods, including UV, IR, HR-ESI-MS, NMR and X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 displayed cytotoxic effects against cancer cell lines B16-F10, A549 and MDA-MB-231.
