Study on the Rotordynamic Performance of a Novel Anti-stagnation Labyrinth Seal

Purpose A novel structure of anti-stagnation labyrinth seal was proposed in this paper. An opposed jet suppressing the circumferential flow was generated in seal cavities with pressure-driven micro-nozzles on adjacent seal teeth.
