THE PHYSICAL LABORATORY AND RADIO-PROTECTION

1963
The control of the final dispersion of the radioactive elements handled in a nuclear center depends to a great extent on the measurement of the radioactivity of dust, gas, and liquid samples. At Marcoule the measurements demanding great accuracy or the use of special techniques are entrusted by the various groups of the Radiation Protection Service to the Physics Laboratory. The methods used and the work carried out by this laboratory are reviewed. (auth)
