In situ hybridization of adenovirus RNA and DNA.

1972
THE methods which have been developed for annealing nucleic acids in situ1,2 have recently been utilized in locating the positions of satellite fractions of DNA in the cells of a number of species including mouse3,4 and man5. RNA complementary to viral DNA can be used in a similar manner to localize viral nucleic acid in the host cell6.
