The Comparative Analysis on Users’ Information Demand in Online Medical Platforms

This paper focused on the research of the users’ consultation in online medical platforms. The patients’ questions regarding to hypertension in three different most frequently used Chinese medical platforms were crawled and have been analyzed comparatively. Web spider program written by Jsoup was used for crawling data from 39.net, xywy.com and haodf.com and 12500 data was collected from these websites. We used Chinese text-processing tool ROST to analyze the collected text data. The analyzing results indicate the hypertensive patients demanding different information from these three platforms. On 39.net, the patients’ questions are mostly related to daily management of disease. On xywy.com, the patients would more likely to get advice and primary diagnosis. On haodf.com, most patients have had offline diagnosis previously and seek for further diagnosis; the frequent usage of professional terminology will contribute doctors with further precise online diagnosis. The findings of this study improve the service of online medical platforms and the understanding of usersinformation demand precisely.
