Staircase (Skilled Reaching) Test

2010
The staircase test evaluates skilled reaching abilities in rodents. In particular, it provides a direct quantitative measure of motor skills involving reaching, grasping under proprioceptive feedback, and retrieval of food in rats and mice. The staircase test is objective, simple, and efficient, without requiring rating or video analysis by the investigator.
