Exploration decision making needs better structuring

This paper describes a proposed structure for oil and gas company personnel to help minimize the risk in exploration. With revenues continually decreasing, the teamwork aspect of exploration must come in to play. The paper describes the problems with teamwork language barriers caused by differences in their education background and specialized work experience. The paper recommends methods for overcoming many of these barriers and recommends a more diversified educational background for new recruits along with graphic visualization and high-speed networks to help display ideas between different disciplines. The author feels that this will ultimately led to the development of better modeling and simulation tools.
