Acciones estratégicas para el fomento de Melipona beecheii en la polinización de agroecosistemas cafetaleros

The work was developed in the town of Monte Ruz Limonar, El Salvador. Guantanamo, with the purpose of developing the main actions for the promotion and use of Melipona beecheii as pollinators in coffee agroecosystems. Surveys aimed at meliponicultors area and farm workers to determine what the main elements that influenced the use of the bee as pollinator were performed. Evaluated by matrix DAFO. Through the relative value index (IVR) of each of the variables in the array is determined which of them will have more weight in the analysis. The current situation of the town of Monte Ruz Limonar, with respect to the use of stingless bee, places it in an offensive position, with a total of 71 points. Based on the results obtained actions are proposed to encourage breeding, multiplication and conservation of Melipona beecheii as pollinator in coffee agroecosystems.
