Trends of green supply chain management (GSCM) practices in manufacturing industries in Malaysia

Green supply chain management (GSCM) is also known as ESCM (environmental supply chain management) or SSCM (sustainable supply chain management). GSCM has the foundation about the requirements of environmental regulations in improving environmental performance of processes and products. There are some significant difference between Green Supply Chain Management and the traditional Supply Chain Management in the whole process such as planning, procurement, production, consumption, and reverse logistics. Some examples of GSCM includes green procurement, green manufacturing/materials management, eco-accounting, green distribution/marketing and reverse logistics.
